This position is a Canada Summer Jobs Position. Funded by the Government of Canada.
If you are between the ages of 15 and 30 and looking to gain experience in an innovative nonprofit that supports job seekers in their journey to education or employment, this might be the summer job for you!
This opportunity will prepare the successful candidate with a portfolio of skills to support their successful involvement in the labour market to achieve their career-related goals in social sciences, human services and/or career development. You will have the opportunity to follow the service process at Work Prep from start to finish learning from staff, clients, and community and employer partners.
Throughout the term, you will take part in service delivery activities across all employability dimensions and in a variety of service delivery models.

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn more about the not for profit sector, vocational services and gain some experience in the sector that will increase their employment opportunities in the future. The successful candidate must be reliable and punctual, an effective problem solver, enjoy being creative and innovative and like to take risks by thinking outside the box, being open to learning and owning their own mistakes.
